I’ve really enjoyed using Axure for wireframes and prototyping
It’s great for several reasons:
* Intuitive to use
* Creates actual usable prototypes you can have your users interact with
* Creates fantastic specification documents that you can hand off to developers and testers
* Not an unresponsive and clunky web-based app

I highly recommend it.
